I am curious and inquisitive. A learner and a seeker.

My name is Jenn Brown. There is little I enjoy more than diving deep into the process of discovery.

Why? Because when I truly inhabit myself and my life, I find awe, wonder, curiosity, joy, beauty, and excitement. I discover endless possibility and potential—and the inspiration to keep learning, meeting, absorbing, knowing, and not knowing.

Sharing that exploration with others leaves me optimistic that if we can resolve our own suffering and come home to ourselves, we may be able to resolve some of the issues that face our larger society today. For as we each find a path to peace inside ourselves, we create a template for the same in the larger world.

I have been a student of Zen awareness practice since 2007 and encountered the Feldenkrais Method a few years after that. The parallels between the two practices continue to amaze me, and the combination has brought me to new levels of self-compassion and self-discovery. These practices have given me a whole new way to inhabit myself.

I’m currently enrolled in the Boston Feldenkrais Training Program and am authorized to teach Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® classes. In 2018, I cofounded Feldenkrais Teachers of the Hudson Valley, a networking and collaborative group working to raise awareness of the Feldenkrais Method in the Hudson Valley of New York.

For more than a decade, I’ve also worked as a writer and editor in the spirituality and holistic health field. I work with organizations like the Omega Institute, 1440 Multiversity, and the Eileen Fisher Learning Lab. I’ve interviewed a number of spiritual luminaries and thinkers—from Adyashanti to Tara Brach to Martha Beck.
